Monday Morning Awesomeness: 01/25/10

Today's Monday Morning Awesomeness is inspired by Matthew Paul Turner, who recently posted a clip of a creepy puppet singing "I'll Be a Sunbeam for Jesus" on his blog. And so for today, here's Nirvana's cover of "Jesus Don't Want Me For A Sunbeam" by the Vaselines.

  2. (This has nothing to do with this post directly, but...)
I just discovered that my Kaspersky Banner Ad blocker won't allow the embedded comments form to open for blogs I am following (like this one) until I added google.com/friendconnect to my white list. In other words, Blogger blogs actually work against me for being a follower of your blog.

Blogger blogs that use a different style of comment form weren't affected.

I think this happened on my blog a few months back when one of my followers couldn't access my comments after I tried switching to the embedded comments form (so I went back to the pop-up form.)

I just wanted to post this in case others have run into a similar problem.

  3. Anonymous--You mean you prefer the original Vaselines version, or the cheesy "I'll Be a Sunbeam" for Jesus song?

    Al--Anyway to fix that?

  4. You could change your comments setting to a full window or pop-up instead of embedded (cause it seems to only affect embedded--no idea why.)
I'm not sure if moderation or word-verification have any bearing on this problem.

  6. Okay, I've now switched my comment settings to pop-up window. Hopefully that will help.

  7. What the crap does a sunbeam have to do with anything?

  8. You mean what does a sunbeam have to do with serving Jesus? Don't ask me! I just like Nirvana and the Vaselines.
